Asia Design Journal Vol.1, Convergence

Convergence

The Asia Design Journal is published with the intension of yielding a wide range of design knowledge necessary for the creation of new design concepts. These will lead the future through discussion on a broad spectrum of topics from Asian traditional philosophy to modern phenomena, which include society, industry, culture, philosophy, and the arts, with a focus on Asian designs. The journal will contribute to diversifying design concepts and envisioning future design by promoting rich discussion on Asian design values in the global design society. In order to facilitate a more significant discussion of design, the Asia Design Journal strives to be a venue for free, open discussion in which ideas may transcend the  boundaries of time, space, culture, and academic fields in order to merge different schools and industries into one. This is in the hope that ultimately such varied views, based on the concept of integration, can be brought together through the journal and lay the groundwork for a new future in the field of design.
