Asia Design Journal Vol.2, Identity

Identity

Identity is permeated from individual’s intrinsic essence and it is completed through the sympathy of the whole. It is manifested by creating a single idea from the volition of the individual entity and as the harmonization of individual and the whole progresses, the consciousness and experiences of one another interacts and gives from and evolves. Identity in design has been dominated by the objective analysis, prediction and subjective emotions of a designer, the creator of an individual entity, but in this era the ubiquitous experiential interactivity proves to be the possibility of reformation in not only individual identity but even its definition with the aid of interactive experiences. How will the future identity be defined? In this issue, the journal attempts to explore the new possibilities on identity creation by going through the past vs. the present and theory vs. realization.
