Creative Convergence

The 4th Asia Design Journal redefines concept of creation in the 21th century through keen insights of leading researchers from academic fields of various countries. Also, it was planned to discover the possibility of new creation that is derived from the relationship between creation and convergence. Convergence is the core value of creation and design is the key area of convergence that creates new values through integrational view by converging different values from the past and present, east and west, humanity, engineering and management. This is publishment especially covers various perspectives that emphasizes east and west, and theory and practice regarding the design’s converging doctrine of creation. In addition, in the special section of this journal, we have asked personal opinions and ideas on “Creative Convergence” to designers and design–related personnel actively pursuing ‘Creative Convergence’ in their industry and community. Through this process, we have had an opportunity to share their diverse opinions on creative convergence and our attitude on coping with future issues.
